Misty River Cabins & RV Resort is located in Walland, Tenn., five miles from Townsend and right in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Tourists to the Walland area can enjoy several activities, such as hiking through the Appalachian Trail and horseback riding. Visitors to Misty River Cabins & RV Resort can choose to park their RVs during their stay or rent one of four log cabins. - The Lodge is a large log cabin at Misty River Cabins & RV Resort that sleeps up to 10 people. The Lodge is a two-story cabin with three bedrooms and three and a half baths. The cabin offers several amenities to guests, including a large-screen satellite television, fireplace, hot tub and covered porch. The Lodge also is located right next to the Little River, making it an ideal location for fishing.
The Lodge is located four miles from Townsend, Tenn. The cabin also is close to the cities of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. As of summer 2010, the cost of the Lodge is $1,500 for a week and pets are not allowed in the cabin. - Serenity is a two-bedroom, two-bath cabin that also is located at the Misty River Cabins & RV Resort. The 1,700-square-foot cabin offers guests a wood-burning fireplace, screened-in porch and queen beds. Like the Lodge, Serenity is located right by the Little River. The cabin also is close to the resort's playground area and swimming pool.
Serenity is located only eight minutes from Townsend, Tenn. Serenity is also close to Cades Cove and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Serenity costs $1,000 per week, as of summer 2010. - The Tree House is another Misty River Cabins & RV Resort that sleeps four. The Tree House features one queen-size bed and a coach that pulls out into a bed. The Tree House has a variety of amenities, including a wood-burning fireplace, kitchen, hot tub and washer and dryer. Guests at the Tree House are able to walk down to Little River. Guests at the Tree House are also only minutes away from Townsend, Cades Cove and the Foothills Parkway. The Tree House is $750 for the week or $125 per night, as of summer 2010.
- The Otter House is a one-bedroom cabin at Misty River that is often used by couples for romantic getaways. The one-room log cabin offers guests a wood-burning fireplace, DVD player, hot tub and kitchen. The Otter House, like all of the other Misty River cabins, is close to the Little River and a good spot for fishing. The Otter House also is close to the Foot Hills Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As of summer 2010, the price of the cabin is $750 or $125 per night.
