Homer, Alaska Tourism
- One of the more popular attractions in Homer is known as the Homer Spit, a four-mile stretch of land that extends into Kachemak Bay. Activities on Homer Spit include jogging, horseback riding and shopping. The Pratt Museum, Pier One Theater and Kenai Peninsula Orchestra are among the other attractions in Homer.
- Lodging in Homer includes hotels, bed and breakfasts, motels and cabin rentals. One hotel, Land's End Resort, is located at the end of Homer Spit. Most other lodging venues in Homer are also are located either on Kachemak Bay or within a short drive.
- Homer can be reached via a coastal drive on Alaska's Sterling Highway. The town also has a small airport, located just north of Homer Spit. Once in Homer, visitors can enjoy boat tours and fishing excursions in the surrounding waters. Kayak adventures are also offered through local vendors.
