- 1). Scrape off any loose pieces of frame or residue from previous repairs. Do this gently so as not to break the frame further.
- 2). Wash your frame with mild soap and water and allow to dry completely. Wipe off with a towel. It is important that the frame be totally dry, so wait at least five or 10 minutes after washing.
- 3). Insert the lens into the frame if the part of the frame that is broken is the eyewire, the part that holds the lens in place.
- 4). Place one or two drops of superglue on the most inside part of one side of the broken frame piece.
- 5). Line up and apply the other side of the broken frame to the piece that has the superglue already on it; hold the two pieces together for at least one to two minutes to allow the glue to set. If possible, wrap a rubber band around the section you are repairing to hold the frame together as the glue dries.
- 6). Repeat steps if first attempt does not work. But first, scrape off any dried glue from your first try.
