I"m Willing But Feel Unworthy

105 2
€Why would people listen to me?€

€I just don't know if I can do it.€

€Who am I to share my story?€

€What if I don't have anything valuable to say?€

Can you relate to any of those phrases or the emotions behind them? They represent the most common, hidden fear and resistance of all would-be entrepreneurs. Am I worthy?

It starts in the most harmless way. We have a yearning desire to do more, to be more, and to have more. Somewhere in the back of our minds, a fire is burning at the very thought of how we can make a huge impact on the world through our stories, our life experiences and genuine interests. The idea stirs up something inside of us! The very idea, the very thought, the inkling of possibility of having a successful business of our very own.

We allow ourselves to dream far enough so that we see the bridge of our living potential and begin to feel the power of our God-given gifts, talents and abilities coming alive. This is it! I know it is! Maybe we've denied the very existence of this part of ourselves for so many years because we just don't know how to utilize those gifts, but now, with that bridge in plain sight, it all feels so very real.

And somewhere between that beautiful bridge of opportunity and the dirt at our feet, we are reminded of who we are.

€This is a joke! I'll never be able to do that.€

€People who are doing this are more gifted than I am.€

€Too many people are already doing this, so it probably won't work for me.€

€I can't lead others until I've got my life together.€

€What makes me think I'm worthy of doing that, when others have failed at it?€

On the verge of unlocking your gifts and being ready to be happy, uphold joy, and be prosperous€¦the enemy runs to that bridge and cuts us off. Is he trying to attack us? No, he would have us to attack ourselves. By using fear, doubt and worry to question about our worthiness and motives.

Whether you know it or not, this is the real battle. Our gifts have power! God has given them to us for a reason. First and foremost, to glorify Him in all we do. If we choose to sit on the sidelines and let others pass us by while utilizing their God-given gifts, the battle is over. How much of a threat is an enemy who has nothing to fight with? None!

€But I don't feel strong enough? What if I'm not good enough to fight?€

Let's look at David in the Bible. He was just a boy. His brothers looked at him as a little €runt€. But guess what? David was not afraid of the big giant Goliath! He asked the Lord for help! He obeyed the word of God and used the shiny stones to knock Goliath down! Small shiny stones are much more effective than ONE giant that APPEARS to be a threat.

The disturbing trend that I'm noticing is that a lot of people know they have special gifts and talents but are mentally tricked into thinking they are not good enough to share them with the world.

Unfortunately, I used to think the same way! €Why would people listen to me? I was a pregnant teen!€ I found out later on in life that this was the trick of the enemy to make me feel insecure and unworthy.

This is where you must ask yourself, €What do I believe about myself?€

If you believe that you have no chance to develop and grow€¦you're being hoodwinked onto a path of destruction and chaos. You are among those standing in front of that beautiful bridge of opportunity but scared to cross it.

If you believe like I do, that our burning passion and desires to bear prosperous fruit and our willingness to grow€¦then feel this in your heart. You may be at the bridge right now, want to cross it, but are unsure if you know how to use your gift. I have exciting news for you!

Your King is waiting on you to come forward! You can hear His voice speaking to you, directly to your heart. His voice is full of joy because you've recognized your gifts. You are using them. You are glorifying Him. He says, €Now is your time! Don't worry about your €qualifications€ or €skill€. Just believe in me and I will take you there.€

This isn't about your worth. This is about your willingness. If you believe that God has personally given you gifts then you must believe that He knows how they can best be used. Stand and rise up!

€I've given you these gifts,€ He reminds you, €Let me lead and guide you on where and how to use it and I'll never fail you!€

Do not get caught up in all the processes or your thoughts about what others might say. They didn't give you the gifts and they surely can't take them away. Do not put yourself down in your field because others are intimidated by you. Obviously, they must not be using their gifts to glorify the King€¦otherwise they would welcome you with open arms.

Most of all, when negativity, discouragement, and jealousy come your way, do you know this€¦
Jeremiah 1:8

King James Version (KJV)

8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.

And for everything that I've said here about your worthiness and your gifts, I want to finish by saying, it's not about you. Our gifts were given to us to glorify God's Kingdom. There's no doubt about it that our gifts will bring us prosperity but those aren't the benefits.

In ways that we may never understand, our gifts empower others to do the same. It uplifts and inspires others to stand up for what they believe in and utilize their God-given gifts.
