What comes first to our mind when we think of hemorrhoids? Most of us will say that it is an embarrassment to have.
Some of us will say pain, blood and itching.
But how do we visualize hemorrhoids? Almost all of us will agree with the definition of a lump outside the anus.
Some of us might specifically define it as a pea-sized lump that forms outside the anus.
But how do we really define what it looks like? Actually, it differs in size and in color depending on how severe the case is.
But generally, it looks like a bulge outside the anus.
It can be soft like a pea and hard like a marble.
But this is the case of an external one.
They are the ones you can see with your naked eye and the ones you can touch because it occurs outside.
On the other hand, the ones inside the rectum are the ones that you cannot see nor touch.
You will only know that it is there when you experience symptoms.
The most common symptom of the internal ones is bleeding.
Aside from this, when an internal hemmies become more severe, it protrudes outside the rectum which makes it prolapsed.
This type has four degrees of severity.
The first degree is what we can consider as the early stage.
The second is a little more advanced and it protrudes during a bowel movement.
However, it goes back on its own after defecating.
The third is a little more severe.
Upon emptying your stool, it protrudes and does not go back on its own.
It needs a manual force so that it can go back inside the rectum which means you will need to push it back using your fingers.
The fourth is considered to be the most severe because it stays prolapsed and does not and cannot go back inside the rectum.
