- 1). Close out any open programs on the computer.
- 2). Insert the upgrade CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive.
- 3). Click on the "Install Windows" option when the CD begins.
- 4). Type the following: "D\setup.exe" when prompted and then click "OK."
- 5). Click on "Upgrade" when you are asked about what type of installation to perform. Then click "Next."
- 6). Follow the installation instructions, which involve several screens and clicks of "Next," and finally click "OK" when asked, to activate the upgrade.
- 7). Restart the computer after the upgrade installation is complete.
