- 1). Click the "Start" button at the bottom of your screen.
- 2). Click "Control Panel."
- 3). Click "Programs."
- 4). Click "Programs and Features." This will open a list of programs installed on your computer. Look through the list to find the pre-installed program you want to remove, for example, "AOL".
- 5). Click the application's name and then click the "Uninstall" button.
- 6). Click "Continue" when prompted if you wish to uninstall the program. The application's Uninstall window will launch and a progress bar will indicate when the uninstall is complete.
- 7). Restart your computer to fully remove the application.
