How to Hide a Taskbar on Windows CE
- 1). Close all active programs and back up your data. Click on the Windows “Start” menu. Type “regedit” in the “Run” field. The registry editor will launch.
- 2). Click the toggle arrow next to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE." Click the toggle arrow next to “SOFTWARE.” Scroll down and click the toggle arrow next to “Microsoft.” Scroll down and right-click on “Shell.”
- 3). Single-click on “Shell” to view the contents. If “AutoHide” exists, skip the next step.
- 4). Right-click on “Shell,” select “New,” then “Key” and name the new key “AutoHide.” The new key should now appear in the “Shell” folder.
- 5). Right-click on the “AutoHide” key, select “New” and click on “DWord.” Name the new DWord “Default.”
- 6). Right-click on “Default” and select “Modify.” Set the value data to “0” to enable the Autohide function. Close out of the registry and restart your computer.
