How to Remove Ultimate Defender for Free
- 1). Click the "Start" menu, right-click "My Computer" and click "Properties" to launch the System Properties box. Click the "System Restore" tab, and then click the "Turn Off System Restore on All Drives" check box. Save your changes by clicking "Apply," "Yes," "OK."
- 2). Launch your anti-virus program if you have one and install the latest updates by selecting the "Update" option. Your program installs the updates automatically. Run a full system scan and delete any malicious programs your anti-virus program detects. Download and run a free anti-virus program such as Avira or AVG if you do not have an anti-virus program (see Resources).
- 3). Launch the registry by clicking the "Start" menu, clicking "Run," typing "regedit" (without quotes) in the open box and pressing "Enter."
- 4). Click the "HKEY_ALL_USERS" folder in the left pane, and then click the "Software" folder. Right-click "Ultimate Defender" and click "Delete."
- 5). Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder, the "SOFTWARE" folder, the "Microsoft" folder, the "Windows" folder, the "CurrentVersion" folder, and finally, click the "Uninstall" folder. Right-click "Ultimate Defender" and click "Delete."
- 6). Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder, and then click the "SOFTWARE" folder. Right-click "Ultimate Defender" and click "Delete."
- 7). Click the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder, then the "SOFTWARE" folder, the "Microsoft" folder, the "Windows" folder, the "CurrentVersion" folder and finally click the "Run" folder. Right-click "Ultimate Defender" and click "Delete." Close the registry.
