Assembling

• 1). Press the lining fabric to remove the wrinkles.
  
  
• 2). Place one shoulder pad on the fabric.
  
  
• 3). Fold the fabric so the folded edge touches the pad's thicker edge.
  
  
• 4). Pin together the raw edges of the two layers. The pad's semi-circular outline should show through the lining. This curved outline will act as a guide for sewing.
  
  

Sewing

• 1). Machine sew with a straight or zigzag stitch close to the pad's curved edge. Remove pins as the fabric feeds along the needle plate. For hand sewing, whip stitch through the layers along the pad's curved edge.
  
  
• 2). Trim the threads.
  
  
• 3). Trim the lining close to the finished edge.
  
  
• 4). Repeat the above steps for the remaining shoulder pad. Both pads should appear snug in their linings to ensure a smooth fit in the garment.
