How To Command Windows to Display a File in Hex

    • 1). Log on to the Windows computer using an account with administrative rights.

    • 2). Run the HEX application; for example, under "Programs" select "HXVI32.exe" (see References).

    • 3). Click "File," then "Open."

    • 4). Browse to and open the file you wish to view in HEX format. The file automatically opens in HEX format.

    • 5). Click "File," then "Exit" once you have finished viewing the file in HEX.
