- 1). Dial *#06# on your keypad to retrieve the IMEI number for your phone. You can also take the battery out of your phone and look for the sticker in the battery compartment to get the IMEI number. Write down the IMEI number.
- 2). Call your current carrier to get the unlock code for your phone. The carrier's representative will ask for the IMEI number for your phone in order to find the unlock code. Write down the unlock code.
- 3). Type the unlock code on your phone's keypad in this format: #PW+UNLOCKCODE+1# . The phone will display "SIM Restriction Off" and your phone will be unlocked.
