A Delightful story that will entertain the reader with its combination of mystery, romance, adventurous travel through woods of Canada, local mysterious people, while you work with the RCMP, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Sergeant Holly Rudd's father is the area's top RCMP Commander, a fact that other Mounties working with Holly don't forget.
Holly is a beautiful and very good cop who has, and is, still learning her job.
Others thought she was getting ahead because of her fathers influence, but she was sure proving them wrong.
She was called to a remote area when a body with a knife in its chest was found in the wreckage of a ship.
Professor Thomas (Thom) Edgefield is the director of the local marine science center.
He and Finn Carver dove to investigate the wreck in cold murky waters.
Thom was an older man so Finn kept an eye out for his safety in the old wreck.
Thom got into trouble with his dive so Finn had to get him up as fast as possible.
The next day Finn reluctantly took Holly down on the dive.
Holly had just completed her dive school so Finn didn't trust her with anything down there including keeping her safe.
Many things kept occurring in the area including more murders, fires, and dangerous incidents that Holly had to keep assigning her other Mounties to research.
An undersea team had come to investigate the murder.
But there was no peace for Holly.
She would get to what she thought was the solution to one crime and more would pop up.
Someone even tried to kill Holly.
At one time she was followed by another vehicle that forced her off the road and her vehicle overturned and slid down an embankment, badly hurting Holly.
Luckily Finn was using the same road as he wondered where Holly was, not being where she should have been.
The feelings between these two started to get real cozy with some disagreements in between but the love was there and they both had to fight through all the misery to decide what, if any, future they would have together.
Some in the town said that Holly resembled another woman they all had known but Holly knew nothing about that person.
The investigation continued with lots of suspense, lots of love and romance, and all the while the reader is introduced to the wilds of Canada and how life was in a remote small town.
Dangerous Waters is a tremendous book that tells a very good story.
I recommend it to anyone that likes suspense that is not real predictable.
