Many giants in the business world including Apple and Microsoft have used such strategies to maximise their profit returns and their results speak for themselves.
There are a few things that you have to simply keep in mind to complete a successful product launching strategy.
One of the biggest keys is to attract as many customers as possible.
This can only be done by having contacts.
Use what ever means possible to spread the word about your product so you have better chances of getting a full crowd.
It is also a great idea to offer something for free (a carrot) as way to lure customer in.
You can offer a free eBook or video that shows a step by step (actionable) plan to accomplish something related to your niche.
The key here is to prove how valuable your information is.
You want your customers to think "Man, if the free stuff is this great, how great must the actual product be" Things like that will be a huge bonus.
Another thing that many tend to over look is the need for having an affiliate program in place before the launch stats.
Initially your affiliates will be helping you capture leads; once the product is launched they will help to sell your brand new product.
While some balk at the idea of using affiliates, it is always great to have as many people as possible talking about your new product and affiliates are great at that.
