Are you using Twitter in your marketing? If so you need take this advice and avoid what the majority of people will tell you about making money with Twitter.
One of the first things that everyone is taught before they make money is to start building there follower list, and one of the only methods most people know of is to go ahead and follow someone and hope that they will follow you back.
People follow and add hundreds of people daily and some of those people in turn follow you back and viola your follower count is now increasing into the thousands all in a few days worth of adding people.
Logically thinking this makes sense, as you would think that the more people following you the more people that will see your tweets.
But then something happens that you soon notice, it appears as though every few seconds your twitter account is being bombarded with tweets.
So many in fact you would wonder how anyone could keep up or maintain any type of conversation by following so many people.
Do you think that any of your tweets are being noticed by all of those people who are following you? Most likely not, what ends up happening is everyone ends up promoting aka tweeting back and forth to the point where twitter becomes a bunch of spam.
So what do you do about it? First off you may have to delete your account and start all over again.
Take a look at a few celebrities that use twitter what do you notice? You'll see that they have tens of thousands of followers yet they are only following a few people themselves.
In my opinion this is how you should use twitter, make yourself a priority for others to want to follow you.
This makes others who visit your page recognize you as a person of authority and someone who they probably should follow.
What happens now is that when you do tweet something it has far more of an impact on your followers and makes is easier for you to respond back to tweets resulting in a better user experience on Twitter.
Finally your tweets are being heard, your links are being clicked, and you're not feeling like your spamming your way to make money online.
