How to Fix Problems With DVD AutoPlay in XP

    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and click "My Computer" to launch Windows Explorer.

    • 2). Right-click the "CD/DVD-ROM" drive and click "Properties." Click the "AutoPlay" tab.

    • 3). Select "DVD Movie" in the "Content Type" box and select the player you want to use to play your DVDs automatically every time you insert them into the CD/DVD-ROM drive. Click "Apply" to save the changes and click "OK."

    • 4). Insert your DVD into the CD/DVD-ROM drive on your Windows XP system. It automatically plays using the media player that you selected.
