Sleep is Great Therapy

Sleep is the latest great cure for stress, depression and other related problems.
Researchers have found that most people these days are sleep deprived.
Our lifestyles are so full on that we rarely get enough sleep.
We have to get up early to get to work and after a full day's work, we race home to go to the gym, visit friends, catch up on work or even just watch television.
Television has the most popular programs and movies on at night so we feel compelled to watch to the end.
The late news is often the only chance we get to see what is going on in the world and the news is often bad.
This makes us toss and turn all night until the alarm gets us up for work.
Traditionally, the weekends were for catching up on sleep but now we have sporting interests, kid's parties, kid's sports and the like to get us up early.
Very few get to laze around in bed, reading the morning paper and enjoying breakfast at lunchtime.
Now, we are told by our doctors to get more sleep.
We need to relax at bedtime so we are not too tense to fall asleep.
Coffee and alcohol should not be consumed as they disturb a good night's sleep.
Daily exercise is essential to a good sleep routine.
It should be done in the morning or early evening, Do not exercise within a couple of hours of bedtime because your body will be stimulated by the exercise and you may have difficulty falling asleep.
A warm bath, a glass of warm milk, soft music and comfortable clothing are best for bedtime.
Make sure you get at least eight hours of sleep.
Some people need more.
It's a great anti-aging cure, too.
