- 1). Power the VMware virtual machine on by double-clicking its name in the VMware virtual machine library window.
- 2). Click the "Virtual Machine" menu and click "Settings."
- 3). Click the "USB Devices" icon in the settings window that appears.
- 4). Click the "Enable USB 2.0 Support" checkbox if it's unchecked, then close the settings window.
- 5). Click the "Virtual Machine" menu, point to "USB" in the menu and click the name of the USB flash drive you want to connect.
- 6). Open the flash drive in the virtual machine normally. For example, if you're using a Windows virtual machine, click "Start," select "Computer" in the Start menu and double-click the icon of the USB flash drive in the computer window.
