If you rent business equipment or a storage unit to hold your products, you can deduct this cost on your taxes.

Travel Costs


As a sole proprietor, whenever you take a business trip you should keep all of your receipts from the trip and document the type of business that you are handling during your travels. This could include car expenses, hotel, meals, tolls and parking.

Professional Fees


If you have to hire a lawyer to handle business-related matters, this is another write-off on your Schedule C.
