- 1). Click on "Start" and then click "Run."
- 2). In the Run window, type in the letters "CMD" and press "Enter."
- 3). Wait for a command prompt window to open, and when it does type in the following commands all at once:
taskkill -IM wgatray.exe
del wgatray.exe
del wgalogon.dll
Press "Enter" once after all three commands have been typed in on the same line. The first command will stop the notifications from running, while the other two commands will delete the files that Windows Genuine Advantage 2008 uses so it can't run. - 4). Restart your computer for the changes to take effect. When it has loaded, Windows Genuine Advantage 2008 should be completely gone.
