- 1). Download and install the free Quicktime Player program to the desktop of the Mac (see link in "Resources," below). Download and install the Flip4Mac software that enables the Mac's operating system to be able to read FLV files (see link in "Resources"). Restart the Mac.
- 2). Run the Quicktime Player. Drag the FLV video file into the Quicktime Player's icon that is in the dock at the left or bottom of the screen. Wait as the Quicktime Player loads in the FLV video file.
- 3). Go to "File" and select "Save as" from the drop-down menu. Name the Quicktime MOV file you are about to make in the open column at the top of the window that has appeared. Click on the "Format" tab at the middle of the window and select "Movie" from the drop-down menu. Click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the window to close the window.
- 4). Wait as the FLV video file is converted into a Quicktime MOV video file and saved to the Mac's hard drive. Quit the Quicktime Player program once the conversion has been completed.
