G Loomis Guarantees - The NRX and GL2 Wildcard
G Loomis increased the bar with the warranty on the NRX type of rods. These rods were announced from the Icast 2010 Exhibition which took Best of Show and the Freshwater Rod Winner titles. But there was another fact that took the market by surprise. G Loomis was now offering a "wildcard" warranty on the rods. The Wildcard warranty is simply a one time, no hassle, replacement of the rod absolutely free, in the instance of a breakage. And better yet, you can get the rod replaced over the counter at any accepted G Loomis Dealer. These rods nevertheless, have a limited lifetime guarantee on material and flaws, so when you end up with a rod that breaks under typical fishing conditions, and had not been misused, avoid using your wild card. Keep the wild card for an event that isn't covered under the warranty... for example: breaking it in your truck door.
How to Sign up for the Wildcard Warrantee
After you buy your rod, you can easlily download a product registration form over the G loomis site or download it right here. Once you prepare the application and connect a replica of the invoice (it's a necessitie) , you will mail your document and sales receipt to:
Shimano American Corp.
Att: Wild Card Registration
One Holland
Irvine, CA 92618
G Loomis should snail mail you a Wild card which you'll show your dealer in case you damage the rod. The merchant will take your broken rod and wildcard and exchange it for a brand new rod. You are only able to exchange it towards the same model which you broke, unless you and your dealer can mutually agree with to an exchange of a different model rod.
G Loomis now offers the Wild Card with the GL2 series
The newly unveiled G Loomis GL2 series is included with the wild card also. This can be very good news as well and a wonderful deal for these GL2 rods that will be listed around $200. NRX fishing rods in contrast cost any where from $450 to $500 so if you step on an NRX, you definitely want to make sure you have went through the steps to get the card from G Loomis. For other rods in the line the expeditor program is still in place for rods other than the NRX and GL2 models. Once you have your warranty card you can relax and enjoy fishing worry free!
