104 9
    • 1). Turn on your computer and log in to Windows. Click on the Start button, then click on the Control Panel button. Select the "Add/Remove Programs" entry from the Control Panel. Wait for the list of currently installed software programs to populate.

    • 2). Select your antivirus software from the list of currently installed programs and click on the Change/Remove button that appears. An uninstaller program will launch, guiding you through the uninstallation process. Once this process finishes, you will be asked to restart your computer. Do so, and log back in to Windows once the computer finishes rebooting.

    • 3). Use an antivirus removal tool if you use Norton or McAfee antivirus products. These products are often not 100% removed from your computer after you use the Add/Remove Programs tool, so the makers of these products have released small tools that will cleanse your computer of the products.
