Can't See XP Computers on My Vista
- 1). Click "Start," then "Control Panel." Click "Classic View" in the left column if applicable.
- 2). Double-click "System."
- 3). Write down the name of your "Workgroup" under the "Computer name, domain and workgroup settings" header. Make sure you write down the name exactly as Windows shows it.

- 3). Click the "Computer Name" tab. Click on the "Change" button if the "Workgroup" name does not match the exact name of the Windows Vista workgroup.
- 4). Type the "Workgroup" name so that it exactly matches the Windows Vista workgroup name.
- 5). Click "OK" three times to allow Windows XP to restart the computer.

- 3). Determine which Service Pack you have installed on your Windows XP computers by reading the information under the "System" header on the "General" tab.
- 4). Download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3 if you have any earlier service pack installed. See Resources.
- 5). Download and install the Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) Responder (see Resources).
- 6). Restart your computers.
