Ulcer Home Remedy
- When ulcers result from infection by bacteria which gnaw through the stomach lining, digestive juices, including acids, touch the stomach wall and make you feel uncomfortable. Yellowroot, a potent ulcer remedy, is rich in antibiotic ingredients that kill such stomach bacteria and destroy both the cause and symptoms of ulcers. One teaspoon of yellowroot tincture taken two times everyday with water is helpful in fighting ulcers. A similar quantity of olive oil taken three times everyday is beneficial against ulcers too.
- Licorice is beneficial for ulcers as it has ingredients that help make the stomach lining stronger. Less than half a gram of this taken regularly for no longer than a month can help provide relief from ulcers. When your ulcers are troubling you, causing pain and irritation, it is a good idea to have three bananas every day to get some relief.
- When your ulcer suddenly starts to give you trouble, slippery elm works almost as well as any over-the-counter antacid. Take some bark of slipper elm and take a quarter teaspoon of powder from it which you can mix with water for a paste. Taken four times a day, this will definitely provide relief from an ulcer. Ginger, with its potent antibacterial ingredients, is the most beneficial for an ulcer when taken with a
teaspoon of honey. - Calendula taken as tincture or a tea made with five teaspoons of the dry herb and the leaves of cabbage made into a juice, mixed with celery juice can make very effective remedies for ulcers. The herb cat's claw with its anti-inflammatory properties can also help ease the pain and irritation of the ulcer affected tissue of the stomach wall lining.
- A mixture of a paste of the leaves of drumsticks and water with yogurt can be beneficial for treatment of an ulcer, if taken regularly. Fenugreek seeds soaked in water and boiled into a tea, can help reduce ulcer symptoms. Mixture of 300 mm of the juice of carrot and 200 mm each of spinach, beet or cucumber juices can make effective ulcer remedy drinks as well.
