For many people who suffer with panic attacks, they will tell you that the experience is terrifying as it makes the person feel as though they are going to die.
Many describe the feeling as having a heart attack.
Although panic attacks do not last a very long time, some people will have them once a month, while other people may have them several times, daily.
This can be a burden on a persons' life, since they may feel as though they have no empowerment over their life.
Furthermore, having these attacks on a regular basis could put strain on your internal organs and in the long run lead to heart problems.
Therefore, it is important you learn how to control panic attacks, so that you are able to live a fulfilling, productive life.
Breathing techniques can usually help manage panic attacks and may even stop them altogether.
This can be achieved by taking deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Try to do this slowly a few times, as it will help you to relax.
Furthermore, if you feel you are going to have an attack, make sure you have a glass of water handy, this will help you relax and keep your composure.
Another way you can help control panic attacks is by keeping fit.
This is an excellent way of releasing unwanted stress, which could potentially lead to a panic attack.
Participating in recreational activities, such as football, working out at the gym, jogging or martial arts, can have a positive contribution to both your physical and mental health.
Keeping fit will help you feel more relaxed, while helping you to maintain a positive outlook on your life.
More importantly feel happy about yourself and learn to love what is around you.
Showing gratuity, even for the simple things, such as waking up the in the morning, brushing your teeth, giving your loved one a morning cuddle or kiss, all help you to think positively about the day ahead.
