Jewish RV Parks in Florida

104 6
    • Florida is home to many RV parks and campgrounds. There are a few that a Jewish RV organization, CHAI (Chavurat Yehudim) Chapter of the Family Motorcoach Association of America, recommends that Jews would enjoy visiting. The organization recommends an area of Florida called The Villages, and there are multiple RV parks within 10 miles of The Villages.

    High Springs Campground

    • Located about five miles from The Villages in Florida, High Springs Campground is a lodging option for Jewish families looking to travel to Florida by RV. The campground has 53 spots for RVs on about 15 acres of land. Hot and cold showers are available as well as cable TV, water and sewage. With a laundry room and boat slips as well as fishing gear available from the office, the High Springs Campground offers visitors a clean, well-manicured spot to enjoy the nearby lake.

    Starke KOA Campground

    • Located about six miles from the Villages, Starke KOA Campground offers many amenities for Jewish RV families to enjoy. Boating, concrete patios, golf, swimming and free Wi-Fi are just a few of the things Starke KOA offers that other RV parks may not. Many lots are shaded, and the campground has a family-friendly feel. Planned activities are also held year-round.

    Koreshan State Park

    • Koreshan State Park became a state park in 1961. Before that, it was the site of the Koreshan Unity group led by New York Dr. Cyrus Reed Teed. Teed established a community that he and his followers believed to be the "New Jerusalem" and erected a number of structures as well as conducted tests to prove their core belief that the universe existed within a giant hollow sphere. Today, you can camp on the land that used to belong to the Koreshan Unity and explore surrounding nature as well as the remnants of the Koreshan way of life. RV park amenities include a dumping station, washer and dryer, and volleyball courts.
