    • 1). Add a new ink cartridge to your printer for best results.

    • 2). Upload the pictures you want to use from your digital camera or by scanning already-printed photographs.

    • 3). Open Word and create a new document. Keep it empty for now.

    • 4). Click the "Start" menu to open a small new window. Look for "My Pictures" and click it to open your digital picture files. Look for "My Pictures" under My Documents, if you do not have a My Pictures link in your Start menu.

    • 5). Choose the file that has the picture you want. Click the picture. Press "Copy." Go back to the open Word document. Click "Paste" to make the picture appear on the empty Word page.

    • 6). Adjust the picture to the size you desire by clicking on the picture to make icons appear at the corners of the picture. Hover the cursor over the icons until arrows appear. Left click your mouse and drag to enlarge or decrease the size of the picture.

    • 7). Move the picture around on the page to allow you to fit more than one decal on a page. Click the middle of the picture and drag to move the picture. Do this to save on your decal paper.

    • 8). Use the icons on your Word toolbar to create different shapes besides a rectangle or square if desired.

    • 9). Save your document to prevent you from having to do all the work again.
