- 1). Click the Start button, then click "Control Panel."
- 2). Double-click "User accounts." If you do not have this option, click "Classic view" on the left side of the screen.
- 3). Click "Manage another account," then click the account you would like to change the icon for. If you are changing the icon for your account, skip this step.
- 4). Click "Change your picture" if you are changing your own icon, or "Change the picture" if you are changing the icon for another user.
- 5). Click the icon you would like to use, then click "Change picture." If you would like to use a picture other than the ones included with Windows, skip this step.
- 6). Click "Browse for more pictures." Browse to the location on your hard drive where the picture you want to use is stored and double-click it.
