10 Tips For Dressing Taller
Now I'm not going to go into an article on wearing platform shoes or styling your hair up.
These things are obvious to everyone and make you seem insecure, not taller.
Instead I will supply you with 10 tips on how to dress and what to wear to appear taller.
#1Vertical Lines - Vertical lines in clothing are perfect.
They create the illusion of length and make your body look longer because the lines seem to go on forever.
#2Avoid Patterns and Designs - The reason for this is because patterns and designs will break verticle lines in your clothing.
This is bad because we are trying to make ourselves look taller not draw attention to our funny shirt / slogan.
#3Match colors - Matching colors is great because is blends your body together, people won't see where your legs end and your torso begins.
They will only see a long blend of color.
So remember to match your brown pants with a brown top of the same shade, if you can.
#4Wear clothing that fits - If you wear something that is too tight people will see your body definition, they will see where your legs end and body begins.
Also if you wear loose clothing you will look like you are hiding something and draw attention to your body.
#5Positioning - Jackets -Jackets should be worn so that they fall just below your buttocks.
Also don't buy jackets with more than 3 buttons.
More buttons are designed for tall people.
#6Positioning - Pants - Pants should be worn just above your hips for best effects.
Don't wear them too high! (Plus high pants will make you look old).
It's also important to get pants that don't puff out at the top.
This will make you look wider and that's definitely a bad thing.
Putting too much in your pockets can cause the same effect.
#7Low-Rise Pants - Purchase low-rise pants when you can.
These are pants with little distance between the crotch and waist line.
Might be a bit uncomfortable for the men ;) But it will give you more length in the legs, which is what we want.
#8V-necks - V-necks are great.
They make your torso look longer! #9Don't tuck.
- Don't tuck in your baggy tops.
This causes bunching at the waist and makes you look wider.
Avoid this! #10Don't show those socks.
- Make sure your pants stop just above your shoes so your socks don't show.
Not only will this help with looking taller...
