Happiness is My Choice in Each Moment
In each moment I get to choose how I feel.
When I sleep well I get up all energized and ready to take on my day.
When I don't sleep well I still get up and push myself to move ahead with my day.
Why wouldn't I simply roll over and go back to sleep when I feel tired? I know my mind will race and prevent me from falling back to sleep.
So once I wake up and feed my cat and determine I am up for the day, the first thing I do is meditate.
I definitely notice on days when I fail to begin with mediation and specifically talking with my Higher Self, my energy does not flow quite as smoothly as it does on days I begin by going within.
I may go within for 20 minutes or sometimes I may stay there for 1½ hours.
I do not watch the clock so I simply do what feels right on any given day.
One of the things I do in mediation is ask to know what activities to do that day so I can best serve the Universe.
I learned years ago that when I guess I usually guess wrong and find myself frustrated or somehow disappointed at the end of the day.
My Higher Self lets me know what to do to further my life and my Life Purpose each day.
You may imagine that knowledge and guidance boosts my mood and sets my day on a positive path-usually.
I do pay attention to how I feel as I know my mood impacts what I will or will not accomplish.
More important, I know if I am in a great mood my work will happen quickly and efficiently.
Whereas when I find myself grumpy or somehow out of sorts, whatever I do will take longer and I will not do as good a job.
So for me, paying attention to my mood makes all the difference in how my day goes.
Even more important, if I am around others, like my cat, my mood impacts how their day goes.
Take a moment here and there throughout your day and check in with yourself.
Note your mood and how your functioning reflects that state of mind.
If your results are less than cheery and optimal, remember that you get to change how you feel.
You can instantly change your mood and therefore how your day goes.
All it takes is recognizing you want to make a change.
