- 1). Turn off the Sony TV and wait five minutes. Unplug the power cord from the wall and wait 30 minutes for the TV to completely cool before continuing with the lamp replacement.
- 2). Remove the two screws on the rear side panel. There is one screw per side, with each one located on a bottom corner of the back panel.
- 3). Pull off the bottom front panel.
- 4). Remove the small screw on the right side of the lamp cover, then pull the cover down.
- 5). Remove the lamp screw located on the top left corner of the lamp unit. Pull the lamp straight out to remove it from the TV.
- 6). Insert the replacement lamp into the TV and re-attach the top left screw to secure the new lamp.
- 7). Flip the cover back up and re-attach the screw. Once secured, replace the front panel of the TV and the back panel screws.
