What is insight?Is insight wisdom?Is insight something that you get to when diving deeper into a problem and grasping its essence or finding the true meaning and understanding of any event or a situation?Insight is hard to define although the dictionary has been able to do this and we generally accept its literal definition and yet, insight itself is beyond a mere definition.
How does one gain insight?There are many ways to gain insight and many people believe that academic professors have a deeper understanding and insight to various matters, because they have devoted their time into thinking and reasoning to gain this powerful insight.
If you ask a professor who has the most insight, they will tell you themselves; some in a humble fashion and others in an extremely arrogant fashion.
I believe the truth is that insight cannot be found in a book.
A book can merely introduce a concept but until you understand the deep meaning of the concept and think through all the potentially eventualities of the situation, you do not have insight into the matter.
Insight is very much about philosophy, but to truly understand how philosophy works you have to put it to work in your life, job, sports, politics, religion and relationships.
True insight comes from observations, experiences, knowledge and understanding.
One who claims to possess insight without having done anything, perhaps his kidding themselves and maintains a false belief system.
