Changing the Text Formatting in iWork Pages for the iPad

iWork Pages for the iPad provides a number of different styles that you can apply to the text in your document. But, you may prefer to specify your own text formatting options. You can choose from a variety of different fonts and colors. You can also change the size and apply font styles like bold, italic, and underline. Or change the typeface.

You can apply font styles from iWork Pages' toolbar. You can select bold, italic or underline from the keyboard.

But, you'll have to do some digging if you want to apply strike-through to your text. You'll also have to do some digging for the other text formatting options.

For more text formatting options in iWork Pages for the iPad, follow these steps:

1. Select a range of text in your document

2. Tap the button on the document titlebar that has an "i" in it

3. On the popup menu that appears, you can tap the strike-through button or any of the other font formatting options

4. Or, scroll down and tap Text Options

5. Use the Size arrows to change the font size

6. Tap Color and select a color swatch to apply color to your text. Swipe to see the second screen of color swatches

7. Tap Font to select a different font

8. If you want to apply a different typeface to your font, click the arrow to the right of the font name and make your selection.

The changes will be applied to the selected text.
