- 1). Click the "Start" button in Windows and select "Documents."
- 2). Find the drop-shadow actions file(s) you want to install into Photoshop Elements. Highlight the file(s) and press "Ctrl" and "C" to copy it.
- 3). Select "View" and "Folder Options" from the menu. Click the "View" tab in the "Folder Options" dialog box that opens.
- 4). Go to the "Files and Folders" section. Select "Show hidden files and folders" under "Hidden files and folders." Click "Apply" and "OK" to make any hidden files visible.
- 5). Navigate to the Photoshop Elements folder at "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\version\Locale\en_US\Workflow Panels\actions," where version represents the Photoshop Elements version you're using.
- 6). Right-click and select "Paste" or press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste the actions file(s) you copied in step two.
- 7). Restart Photoshop Elements to view or use the drop-shadow actions you installed.
