Holiday Gift Giving Game - The Perfect Game For Any Holiday
This is an extremely fun game that can be played during any holiday. So, the next time you plan a Christmas Party, a Halloween Party, a Wedding Shower, or even a Birthday – just adapt the wording of this story below and have some fun. (The RIGHT story below is written for a Christmas party, but you can change it and adapt it to whatever occasion, party, event, or holiday you are celebrating).
Everyone will come to the party with a gift (they can be nice or ‘white elephant’ gifts). Everyone will sit in a circle with their gift. One person will read the story below, and for each time the word ‘RIGHT’ is said, everyone passes their gift to the person on their right. Likewise, every time the word ‘LEFT’ is said, everyone passes left. You keep the gift you have once this story has been read:
The Christmas Story of the RIGHT Family:
Christmas was just about here and Mother RIGHT was finishing up the last Christmas preparations, presents, and meals. Father RIGHT, Sally RIGHT, and Johnny RIGHT had just LEFT the store and were returning from their last minute Christmas shopping and errands. "There is really not much LEFT to be done," said Father RIGHT as he came in through the LEFT door of the RIGHT family kitchen. "Did you deliver the basket of food to the family to the RIGHT of the Church?" asked Mother RIGHT, as Father RIGHT entered? "I LEFT it RIGHT where you told me to," said Father RIGHT.
RIGHT then, the hall telephone rang, and Sally RIGHT LEFT to go and answer it RIGHT away. She rushed back and told the family, "Aunt Margie RIGHT LEFT a package for us RIGHT on Grandma RIGHT's porch. I'll go over there RIGHT now and get it," she said as she LEFT in a hurry. Father RIGHT LEFT the kitchen, again through the LEFT door, and brought in the Christmas Tree which was leaning on the RIGHT side of the garage. By the time Sally RIGHT had returned, Mother RIGHT, Father RIGHT, and Johnny RIGHT had begun trimming the tree.
The entire RIGHT family sang carols, laughed, and talked as they finished the decorating. Then they LEFT the room after arranging all the presents under the tree and they LEFT to bed, hoping they had selected the RIGHT gifts for their family. They went to sleep RIGHT away in anticipation for Santa to also come and make this the best RIGHT Christmas ever!
