How to Copy Pictures to CD With Windows XP

    • 1). Insert a blank, writable CD into your CD-burner drive.

    • 2). Open up "My Computer" and locate the folder in which the photo files you wish to copy are located.

    • 3). Select all the photos you wish to copy to CD.

    • 4). Click the "Copy to CD" option on under the Picture Tasks in the left-hand side of the window. This copies the images onto the CD to prepare for burning.

    • 5). Open up the CD-burner drive. You should see temporary files on the disc waiting to be written to the disc.

    • 6). Click the "Write to CD" option under the "CD Writing Tasks" on the left-hand side of the Drive window. This opens up the CD Writing Wizard.

    • 7). Choose a name for the disc in the CD Writing Wizard window and click next.

    • 8). The CD Writing Wizard will automatically begin writing the data, in this case photos, to the CD and finish the copying process from here.
