- 1). Open your "Start" menu and click "My Computer." It's also commonly an icon on your desktop.
- 2). Right-click on the CD or DVD drive you wish to disable the autorun feature on, then click "Properties."
- 3). Select the "Autoplay" tab and set each dropdown menu to "Take no action." Click "OK" to save your settings.
