How Do I Install Microsoft FTP Service?
- 1). Open the "Control Panel" on your computer. This can be accessed by clicking the "Start" button and selecting Control Panel from the Start menu.
- 2). Select "Add/Remove Windows Components."
- 3). Click "Application Server" in the components list.
- 4). Highlight the "Internet Information Services (IIS)" listing (but do not click on the check that is already in the check box).
- 5). Click the check boxes for "Common Files," "File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Service" and "Internet Information Services Manager." Click "OK" and "Next."
- 6). Place the Windows Server CD-ROM in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive of your computer. The setup program should automatically find the necessary files on the CD-ROM and install them.
- 7). Click "Finish" after the files are finished installing from the CD-ROM. The FTP service is now installed, and you should be able to configure it to your specifications.
