How to Make Jewelry From Tied Flies
- 1). Place a silver necklace and a silver chain bracelet onto a flat surface.
- 2). Line up your tied flies, and select the ones that you want to make into jewelry.
- 3). Cut off the barbed tips of the flies using wire cutters. Discard the tips.
- 4). Bend the remainder of the hooks over with needle-nose pliers until they make an almost-complete circle. Leave open a small area so you can slip them onto the necklace or bracelet.
- 5). Slip a few flies onto the silver necklace, and use needle-nose pliers to bend the hooks into complete circles. This will secure the flies onto the necklace as pendants.
- 6). Hook the remaining flies onto individual links in the bracelet, and use the needle-nose pliers to bend the hooks into complete circles. This will secure the flies onto the bracelet as charms.
