How do I Remove Kilz From a Fiberglass Shower?
- 1). Put on your gloves and goggles to protect your hands and eyes. Pour a small amount of chemical paint remover on a cloth, and wipe down the affected fiberglass. Let sit for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not allow it to sit on the fiberglass for too long as it will damage the surface.
- 2). Scrape off the Kilz using a putty knife. For textured fiberglass surfaces, scrub the surface with a scrub brush.
- 3). Rinse well with warm water to remove the chemical paint remover.
- 4). Pour denatured alcohol on a clean cloth and wipe any remaining Kilz off of the fiberglass. Rinse well, and clean the area with a fiberglass cleaning product and sponge.
