- 1). Click "Start." Type "turn windows features" (without quotes) and press "Enter."
- 2). Un-check the box next to "Windows Search."
- 3). Click "OK."
- 4). Click "Yes" on the Windows Features confirmation box.
- 5). Restart your computer after disabling the search feature.
