Navy Ideas for Scrapbooking

    Training

    • Navy training is notoriously difficult, but extremely rewarding. Document your training experience by keeping a journal of the activities you participate in, the commanders who are part of your training, and other Navy officers who are training along with you. If you can, be sure to snap pictures of officers you become friends with, your accommodations, and the area in which you train so you can use them to create a few scrapbook pages to remember your time in training.

A Day in the Life of...

    • A great way to memorialize your life as a Navy officer is to do a succession of "A Day in the Life of" pages, where you document a day of the life of a Navy officer. You can take photos of simple things like your meals, training exercises and different tasks that you complete throughout the day, and then arrange them chronologically on a scrapbook page along with captions. This is a great way to show friends and family what you are doing while in the Navy, and a great way to help you remember your time in the Navy.

    Ports

    • In the Navy, you have the opportunity to see many destinations through the different ports you arrive at. Document each port that you sail into by taking plenty of pictures of the cities you are able to visit, and collecting small items that are representative of that particular port, whether they be labels from products there, receipts or other small mementos that you collect. Add a small journal to each port page about what you did and didn't like about that particular port and if you plan to go back again someday.
