    • 1). Avoid shampooing hair daily. Shampoo should be used less often if possible. When it is not possible to avoid shampoo on a daily basis, use a very mild shampoo that will not dry out hair. This can damage and ruin hair and make it look much worse than it really is.

    • 2). Use a conditioner in hair daily. A mild conditioner should sit on the hair for two to three minutes daily to have healthy, well conditioned hair. Healthy hair will combat frizz.

    • 3). Add a deep conditioning option once a week. This should be left in hair for half an hour to an hour, depending on the damage to hair and then rinsed out. Deep conditioning hair will improve hair health over time.

    • 4). Avoid curling irons or straightening irons. These might give temporary relief to hair, but they can be very damaging and can ultimately lead to hair that gets frizzier. A natural hair type will end up less frizzy than trying to change the hair type.

    • 5). Use of a blow dryer should be minimal. It should also be turned to a low heat to avoid making the hair stand on end. High heat will damage hair and will cause frizz.

    • 6). Add a hair serum with anti-frizz to reduce overall frizz. There are several options available in stores, and these can help reduce frizz. It can be added to wet or dry hair.
