Thursday lunchtime concerts, gamelan music, puppet shows, circus acts, Latin Jazz and more at the SOMA urban garden.

Catch vampish drag queen Peaches Christ in her 12th and final summer of hosting "Heathers," "Showgirls," "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark" and other classic cult flicks.

Sunday Streets: The Great Highway

The highway is turned into a car-free, Ocean Beach promenade.

Contemporary jewelry, apparel, dishes, home décor and furniture from 250 artists across the US, including "greencraft" designers who use recycled or eco-friendly materials.

“Too Big to Fail,” a timely satire about financial bubbles and bursts, presented by the zany and politically-outspoken 50-year-old theater group.

Live music by Bay Area salsa bands to get you swaying and spinning. Intro lessons and then an open dance floor.

13th Annual Cajun-Zydeco Festival
Aug. 22, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Twanging and strumming by the Acadien Cajun Band, Dwight “Black Cat” Carrier and other musicians direct from Louisiana, rib-sticking Cajun and Creole food, plus the farm’s regular resident-animals and organic produce.

Film Night in the Park

“On the Waterfront,” the classic and perhaps greatest American film ever, starring Marlon Brandon.

Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival

Three-day music extravaganza featuring Pearl Jam, Black Eye Peas, Dave Matthews Band, Incubus, Lucinda Williams, M.I.A., Cage the Elephant and dozens of other musicians. Cabaret, variety, circus and comedy shows will be staged in a turn-of-the-century mirrored tent from Belgium.
