When you run a network marketing home based business, you are on your own.
Your income depends solely on your ability to generate traffic, leads, sales and therefore money.
At one point or another of this wonderful adventure, I am 100% sure that you will go (or have already gone) through a terrible feeling, which can be described like this: - This business is not working - My decision to launch this business was wrong - I am losing money and not making any - My family does not understand what I am doing - My family does not agree with me - I am no getting traffic - I am not getting any lead - I have not closed any sale - Extreme fatigue - Best solution would be to give up Etc...
Believe me, I have been through this, and every single network marketer I met has also been in the same situation.
Fortunately, there are many ways to mitigate that problem and to quickly go back to normal.
DO NOT GIVE UP Most important first thing to do is to make sure that you don't give up.
When you decided to start your own business, you did it because you had an ultimate goal, and it has not changed.
It can be that you want to be your own boss, or you want to be in control of your life, or you may want to spend more time with you family or you need to be financially independent.
Giving up as soon as the first obstacle shows up would mean losing a unique opportunity, that you might never be able to find any more, to achieve your ultimate goal.
Go back to your drawing board.
Read again each word of this ultimate goal that you wrote for yourself when you started your business and think of your big WHY! This should help you.
THINK POSITIVE As soon as you start feeling depressed, all kind of negative thinking come to your mind.
Be aware that negative thinking becomes quickly like a vicious circle.
The more you let it take over your mind, the more difficult it will be to get out of it.
As soon as negative thinking comes to your mind wash it out and replace it with positive one.
Think of all the good things you like to do or you have done and focus on it.
Read a cartoon, watch funny videos or anything that will naturally make you laugh.
Another thing you need to know as well is that there are people who naturally carry negative energy and who always think and talk in a negative way.
Train yourself to become aware of it and recognize these people.
When you are in presence of such negative thinkers, get away from them as soon as possible and instead bond with those who carry enthusiasm, smiles and friendship.
REMAIN ACTIVE One famous say is that "inactivity is mother of all vices".
When you find yourself in a depressive mood, make sure that you remain active.
By all means do something.
It can be to keep yourself busier with your business, or it can be helping your wife or partner.
My favorite activity when I am not in good mood is gardening.
I love nature, plants, flowers, birds and animals.
In addition, I don't mind being outside, even when it is a bit cold, windy, rainy or snowy.
Gardening is nice because it feels good to be outside in clean air, to cut, clean, plant and see the positive results of your work.
To me, there is nothing more rewarding than a nice garden with a freshly mown lawn, pretty flowers and nice birds singing around! EXERCISE Similarly, exercising will provide peace to your mind.
If possible practice your preferred exercise.
Something that you enjoy and which make you push yourself physically and sweat! In my case, I need strong effort to really relax, like swimming, running or rowing.
Exercising is most likely the best remedy against stress.
It brings blood to your brain, it cleans your body from toxins, it forces you to think of the physical efforts you are producing and therefore it prevents your negative attitude almost naturally.
If you cannot exercise outdoor for some reason, there are many ways to do it indoor, either at the gym or at home.
LOVE If you are married or living with a partner, make love is also an excellent recipe against stress.
However, do it the right way so that both of you can relax and enjoy to the maximum.
Chose a place that both of you like, lighten candles with a nice relaxing sent, eventually switch on ambiance music, fill up your tub or Jacuzzi with nice bubbles, prepare the massage oil...
and you are all set for a wonderful moment! CONCLUSION When you run your own business, especially online network marketing, and more precisely if you are a team leader, you need all your energy to pull and boost your team almost 24/7.
