- 1). Visit Cooperstown’s most famous attraction, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The museum features displays celebrating the history of baseball and offers a special exhibit devoted to players inducted into the Hall of Fame. Baseball lovers may also enjoy visiting the Heroes of Baseball Wax Museum, located just down the street from the Hall of Fame. The wax museum features life-size replicas of baseball’s great players and offers a virtual reality batting cage and gift shop.
- 2). View scenic Otsego Lake on Cooperstown’s own tour boat, the Glimmerglass Queen. Tours are available daily and the boat is also available to host private parties. The boat departs from the Lake Front Motel in Cooperstown.
- 3). Scare yourself with a ghostly tour. The Cooperstown Candlelight Ghost Tours Company conducts guided tours throughout Cooperstown. Tours focus on the town's haunted history and can be booked from April through August. Tours are available in the winter by appointment only. Reservations can be made by calling (607) 547-8070.
- 4). Visit the Fenimore Art Museum for a peek at the work of some of America’s finest artists. The museum features folk art, landscapes, photography, American Indian art, history and genre paintings. - 7). Spend a relaxing afternoon at Glimmerglass State Park. Located on Lake Otsego about eight miles from the center of Cooperstown, the park offers a beach, campsites, picnicking, hiking, biking, fishing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing.
