- 1). Read the product description carefully. The product description should include the words "authentic Antik" or "genuine Antik."
- 2). Ask for more photos and ask lots of questions, if you are shopping online. Find out where the jeans you want to buy were made, because authentic Antik denim is made in Turkey. Do not purchase or bid on anything until you hear back from the seller.
- 3). Look at the back right side of the jeans for a flap of leather folded over and sewn on, which is a signature detail on most Antik denim products. The center of the flap of leather will have a small circle, sometimes with a piece of turquoise added, on authentic Antik products. The label should say "ANTIK" on the left side and "DENIM" on the right with an eagle in the middle.
- 4). Check the material content. Men's Antik denim is 100 percent cotton, while women's Antik denim is 99 percent cotton and 1 percent spandex.
