Exercise is a very important part of your life, and it can help to maintain a sensible weight.
What can you do, though, if you just do not have time to exercise? Many of us lead very busy lives and we do not have time to spend an hour at the gym or an exercise class.
1.
Do you commute to work every day? If you drive a car to work, park your car several blocks away from your work.
You may need to leave earlier in the morning, give yourself an extra 15 - 20 minutes.
A brisk walk to your workplace can leave your feeling refreshed and ready to face the day.
2.
Take the stairs.
So you work on the fifth floor? Stairs are an excellent way to squeeze in some exercise each and every day.
On your coffee break, take the stairs and go outside, and on your return, climb the stairs back to your office.
3.
Ride your bike to work.
Many cities have biking trails that lead directly to the downtown core from outlying bedroom communities.
Biking is an excellent way to get your exercise in each and every day, and you won't have to pay for parking and gas! 4.
Purchase a treadmill or exercise bike.
Put it in your living room and use it each and every evening while you are watching television.
Think about how much time you spend on the couch each night - you could be getting exercise! 5.
Walk as much as possible.
If you have some time between dinner and bedtime, get outside and go for a brisk walk.
You only need to walk 30 minutes 3 times per week to see benefits.
Many of us talk ourselves out of simple activities that can make us feel much better.
Exercise is one of the best ways to feel better about yourself.
Exercise releases natural endorphins from your brain which is a "feel good" hormone, better than the effects of any drug you can buy legally or otherwise.
Once you get into a routine of some sort each and every day, you will start to miss your daily exercise if you don't squeeze it in.
If you are trying to lose weight, getting some form of exercise for 30 minutes three times a week is all you require to see results.
If you can burn 300 calories each time you go out, you will most likely lose one pound for every 10 times you go walking.
