I"ve Never Worn a Wig Before - How Hard Are They to Put On?

The first thing you need to do is get yourself a wig cap.
They are specially made, light-weight, breathable, and snug fitting to hold your hair closely to your head under your new wig.
You can choose your color.
Some people chose to match their wig color while others go with a lighter shade to mimic their scalp.
Color choice comes down to personal preference.
Once your hair is tucked in and the wig cap is pull up just short of your natural hairline, you are ready to begin.
There are two methods of adhering a wig to your forehead.
First, there's double stick tape.
Second, there's glue.
Again, choice of adhesive is a matter of personal preference.
Many people believe that tape is easiest to handle for the first time, but with experience, quite a few women use glue most often.
Step 1 (Tape and Glue): Clean the forehead just below the hairline.
Be sure to clean all the way around and down by both ears.
You may use cleaning fluid specially made for wig application or astringent, alcohol, or witch hazel.
The point is to clean the dirt and natural oils from your forehead so the adhesive works well.
Step 2 (Tape):Apply the double sided tapes starting in the middle of your forehead.
Place the tapes side by side all the way down your hairline on both sides.
Step 3 (Tape):Remove the backing from the adhesive to expose the sticky surface of the tape.
Step 4 (Tape): Put the lacefront wig on your head.
Be sure to align the wig's hairline with your natural hairline.
Be careful to check both ears for alignment with your hairline.
If there are going to be any problem areas, it will be around your ears.
Step 5 (Tape and Glue): Trim off the lace front even with the blended natural and wig hairlines.
It is advisable to do this in small increments such as an inch or two at a time.
Step 6 Tape and Glue): Style! The steps to gluing on a lace front wig are very similar to using tape.
After your forehead is clean, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 (Glue): Spread glue evenly all along your natural hairline.
Step 3 (Glue): Let the glue dry for about three minutes.
The glue should go from being wet to being tacky.
The remaining steps are identical to putting on your lace front wig with double sided tape.
See? Nothing to it! Now go get that wig you've thought about for ages and enjoy some fun new do's!
